Account Manager Defense & Government 

Job purpose

The Account Manager Defense & Government will be responsible for sales and related business activities in a defined territory. The primary objective is to grow market share and to expand the depth and breadth of relationships with existing customers in the territory.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategy to meet company goals and revenues.
  • Build relationships with customers to discover their business objectives.
  • Identify new market opportunity to increase sales.
  • Manage and maintain existing accounts.
  • Build solid relationships with customers at various levels in their organization up to …. Level.
  • Educate customers on new and existing products and solutions.
  • Locate and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain Pipeline to help follow up on potential sales.
  • Sell hardware and airtime to end users
  • Attend Trade Shows and Industry events as required.
  • Organize customer trainings for new or existing products and or procedures.
  • Visit (potential) customers
  • Projects, as assigned, will also be a key part of this position.

Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of two (2) years of sales experience ideally but not necessarily in satellite communication, networks or telecommunication industry.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal and networking skills
  • You know the German Military and Government eco system inside out
  • You easily identify new opportunities and customers
  • You are a good negotiator who can close complex new deals and generate revenue growth
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • You are resilient and adaptable to change and able to improvise and work in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • You have strong collaborative and problem-solving skills. 
  • You are Fluent in German & English
  • Results-oriented and focused on achieving goals and has accountability for expected results.
  • Excellent scheduling skills including calendar management, coordination of meetings.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment; handles sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous and detailed tasks.
  • A good understanding of finance concepts.
  • Ability to work at a high level of independence; is pro-active and self-motivated.
  • A willingness to embrace and live the core values of Network Innovations. 

Working conditions

This position typically operates in a professional office environment. Standard office hours are 8am to 5pm, however, work outside of regular office hours and occasional travel will be required.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment and software. Up to 50% travel. Hybrid work schedule. 

Physical requirements

Sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time.
