Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Project Manager to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. The primary role of the Project Manager will be to oversee the planning, execution, delivery and launch of new products (software, hardware, and services) into our markets.

You will manage projects to take a solution initiated within one NI Business Unit and standardize availability across NI. You will also help solutions started in the Products and Networks teams (and from 3rd party vendors) to take prototypes to commercial readiness. You will work with Sales, Marketing, Operations (Activations, Logistics, and Support), and Finance teams to ensure that the new product or service meets their sales and operational needs. You will be responsible for developing and improving the NPI process, task tracking and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Determine project readiness for NPI.
  • Develop and maintain the project plan for each NPI project.
  • Coordinate all activities related to new products including requirements gathering, design, engineering, marketing, sales, activations, and support.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish strong rapport with SMEs, project stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and communication of project milestones, issues and resolutions, status updates, and key decisions.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and cross-functional resources to ensure successful project delivery on time, in scope, and on budget.
  • Monitor project progress across project portfolio and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Transition projects into Sales and Operations with strong documentation and training via change management.
  • Drive continual improvement toward best practices in NPI via retrospectives at end of project.

Qualifications (Required Experience & Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably with tech products / XaaS, in a startup or scale up env't.
  • Solid experience in managing a portfolio of 4-6 projects at a time.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish strong collaborative relationships across departments and geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, track projects, and hit milestones.
  • Strong understanding of agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with vendor management and negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Jira, Asana, or MS Project.
  • Self-driven with strong organization skills - ability to work independently and with teams across time zones.

Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Network Service Technologies (IP, Satellite, Cellular, SD-WAN)
  • Experience with SaaS platforms in cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO27001, CMMC.
  • Experience working cross-culturally in a multi-national company, with internal stakeholders as your customer.
  • Experience developing technical documentation and training materials.
  • PMP Certification and/or Agile Practitioner Certification.

Working conditions

This is a full-time position in a professional office environment with flexible work hours (standard 8am-5pm, Hybrid – min 3 days in office). However, the incumbent must be available to work with stakeholders across time zones, within reason. Occasional travel (up to 10%) is expected. Position requires sitting and using a computer for extended periods of time. Position requires ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs. and reach overhead.
